Questions that expose weak claims
- Whose statement is it? Name the operator, regulator, provider or reviewer.
- When and where was it observed? A screenshot without date and market can age quickly.
- What is missing? Look for eligibility, caps, exclusions, contribution, expiry and dispute routes.
- Can it be independently reproduced? A current register or public terms page is stronger than a marketing card.
Our evidence rule
Primary regulatory pages and official registers lead. Official terms would lead for a current promotion, but only if accessible and clearly tied to the domain and region. A direct visual observation can establish appearance or access state. Named secondary reporting can establish that a claim was reported; it cannot silently become primary confirmation.
Conflicts remain conflicts until a stronger source resolves them. This approach is slower than filling a comparison table, but it prevents a polished layout from laundering uncertain information into apparent fact.
